Carla Marrero's cat family is back with a heartwarming tale of love and friendship. What happens when the local cat shelter is set to close permanently? Where will all the cats, including Abby's friend, Paws, go? Fortunately, Babs knows of the perfect forever home for these lovely felines. The journey there is quite magical!

Carla Marrero is a local self published author and illustrator of picture books. While born in Puerto Rico in 1975, Carla has been a lifelong resident of Massachusetts. She specializes in writing and illustrating cat stories. Her current book, Babs and the Rainbow Realm (2024), incorporates elements from her four previous cat tales: Crabby Abby (2018), CJ’s Hide-A-Way (2015), Mimsie’s Mousie (2012), and The Magical Cat (2006). In addition to being a self published author illustrator, Carla is a proud cat mom and elementary school art teacher. She visits libraries and book events to share her cat tales and provides a story based activity following the reading. Copies of her books are available for purchase in person or through Amazon
