Odin invited you to a Viking Yule to celebrate the Winter Solstice on December 21st!

Old Man winter calls on you to join us at the Solstice to bring in the close of a good harvest and to prepare for new life. To celebrate the shortest day of the year,  join us for a master class in making three Mocktails. First we have Glogg, a sweet traditional holiday drink in Scandinavian countries. Then, as we honor the Sun at our Yule altar, we'll make Blot, a red bubbly drink with grenadine to symbolize the sacrificial goats and animals given to the Gods for blessings in return. We'll end  with a final toast using the Vines from Valhalla, a ginger ale-based drink to mimic the wine shared as people wished each other a good winter as they waited for the return of the Sun. 

During the presentation we will learn a few Swedish words and phrases and listen to a quick retelling of Nordic myths. This is a fun evening of learning! 

About the Presenter:  Started by Juvy Hartweg , Sassy Lady Cocktails is a woman owned small business on the South Shore.  Mixing things in a Science lab has always been a fun activity and it came naturally to use these skills in mixology and bartending. Since 2022, Juvy has enjoyed being a part of a lot of private celebrations of joy from baby showers to retirement parties. Licensed and insured in Massachusetts, Juvy works with many towns, non-profit groups, small businesses and private parties to customize a drink menu to compliment any get together.
