In honor of Fogg Library's 125th anniversary, stained glass artist and restorer Jane Walsh will speak about the library's historic stained glass windows and her work to repair and conserve two of the windows. After the talk, walk next door to Fogg Library to look at the windows during an open house with music and light refreshments.
Jane Walsh is the owner of Coastal Art Glass in Norwell, where she has been restoring historic stained glass and creating new glass art for 50 years. Her work has been featured in Better Homes and Gardens and on HGTV’s Houses With History. Coastal Art Glass has recently done major restoration at Arlington Street Church and the Massachusetts State House. Other work may be seen at the Mayflower II in Plymouth, South Shore Hospital, and the homes of Aerosmith’s Joe Perry and Steven Tyler. Jane and the other artists at Coastal Art Glass have recently restored two historic stained glass windows in Fogg Library in Weymouth.
