Thursday, April 47:00—8:30 PMMultipurpose Room 138Tufts Library46 Broad Street, Weymouth, MA, 02188

"Tell me a Story" is a fun, participatory workshop for adults who want to learn how to tell stories to (and with) children.

Are your children or grandchildren hungry for stories? Are you tired of reading the same books over and over? Are you looking for some new ideas for how to initiate creative, story-based play with young children? This workshop will introduce story games, how to improvise with others, and techniques for how to take a written story and tell your own version. These tools will help you enjoy co-creating stories with the young children in your life.

Join Cindy Rivka Marshall, award-winning storyteller, for this workshop. Cindy Marshall is an award-winning professional storyteller, workshop facilitator, and consultant. She uses story-based approaches in her consulting with schools and synagogues, focusing on educational innovations and diversity awareness. Her trainings for educators include story eliciting, story creating, teaching through story, communication tools and team building. Her audio recordings have won awards from Parent’s Choice, Storytelling World and National Parenting Publications.
